Prenatal Childbirth Class
I am a former labor and delivery nurse with over 23 years of experience in the hospital setting. My passion in life is labor and helping make the transition to parenthood. As a labor and delivery nurse, I can help you navigate the options for birthing. This class is an introduction to birthing in the hospital setting. We will discuss hospital procedures and the risks and benefits of each procedure. We will discuss the normal progression of labor and what to expect. This is a 4-hour class that will cover the basics to prepare you for a hospital birth.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
Are you a new parent who is planning to breastfeed and want to get off to a good start with breastfeeding? Then this class is for you. The class can be held in the comfort of your own home and scheduled at a time that is convenient to you. We will cover the anatomy of the breast, components of the milk, benefits of breastfeeding, basics on positioning and how to achieve a good latch. We will also discuss the newest information on pumping, when to start and advice on choosing the right pump for you. As well as helpful tips for beginning breastfeeding in the hospital.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Consultation
Have you struggled in the past with breastfeeding, or do you have questions or concerns that are specific to your situation? A prenatal private appointment may interest you. In a private one on one prenatal consult, we will discuss any concerns that you may have and create a plan that will help to achieve your goals. We can discuss any risk factors that you may have and prepare you to get off on the right foot. Our private consultation will typically last 1.5-2 hours, and we will address all concerns that you may have, and I will provide you with a written plan.

Prenatal in Home visit $200
Initial Postpartum Lactation Consultation
Are you having any trouble with breastfeeding, or do you just want to ensure that you are off to a good start? I can come to your home, or you can meet me in the designated office. We will discuss your birth experience, medications, medical history, breastfeeding questions, or concerns. I can do a weighted pre and post feed weight to ensure that your baby is getting proper milk transfer. I will assess the dyad because you and your baby are a team. I will assess the latch. I can perform an oral assessment and give proper referrals for any suspected oral dysfunction or tethers. An initial postpartum visit will typically last 2 hours. You will be provided with a written plan of care.

Follow-up Lactation Consultation
This service is for established clients. This appointment typically lasts 1-1.5 hours to help ensure that things are progressing well, and you are on the right track for success.

Flange Sizing And Pump Advice
Are you going back to work? Are You planning on exclusively pumping? In this consultation, we will review how to use your pump to it’s fullest potential. I can do a flange sizing the proper way. Sizing takes about an hour. I have flanges of all shapes and sizes to try during our visit. (Bring your pumps)
